As we all know, mother and motherland are greater than heaven.

Nepal, my motherland, is truly a paradise. Being landlocked in between two of the largest countries of the world, it still has its name known around the world because of the specialities it holds. It is a small country with lots of natural, cultural, and religious resources. One truly doesn't need a reason to love his/her motherland, but Nepal truly does contain everything which makes us love it even more. As a patriot, I can proudly say that I love my country more than anything else in the world.

Nepal is a developing country with huge amount of strengths and flaws. It is one of the richest countries with bio-diversity. Basically, it's a diversed country with multi-cultures, multi-languages, multi-religions, multi-castes and natural diversity. All the people and the society within our country loves to live together. Even after being diversed from each other, their love for each other never goes away. That makes Nepal even more unique than any other country of the world.

Mechi, on the east; Mahakali, on the west; Himalayas, on the north; and Terai, on the south  makes up Nepal. The highest peak of the world Mt. Everest lies in Nepal, and there are also other 7 out of the rest 13 highest peaks. Not only mountains but lakes, forests, mountain ranges, national parks, land structures, rivers, and many other natural resources have been blessed in our country. People from all around the world go there for trekking, moutaineering, paragliding, boating, rafting, and not-to-forget bunji-jumping. Nepal has been attracting lots of tourists lately which is helping to increase our economy.

Not only naturally, but culturally, historically, and religiously too, there are lots of places and resources that attracts Nepali within the country, and also foreigners. Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha: The Light of Asia, lies in Nepal. Nepal is a country where Buddhism, Hinduism, and Kiratism co-exist together. It's a country where people live in different life styles with having different values of their culture. Historic regions like Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur contain beautiful heritages with it's own importance. Temples, gumbas, stupas, durbars, and holy lands with their rare values make our country very unique from other.

Moreover, the cuisines and the costumes of my country are out of the world. Guniyo-choli, Dhaka-topi, and Daura-suruwal are very unique and represent my country very well. The western dresses, and cultures can never beat the culture and tradition of my motherland. Dal-bhat, the typical Nepali food, is one of the best foods for me. Pizza, burger, and french fries willl never be able to beat the taste of it. All of these small but valuable things are in Nepal. Even though we live far, we've been celebrating all the festivals and following all the traditions that our fore-fathers have taught us. No matter where we are, and what we are doing, there's not a day when we don't think about Nepal because even a memory from there refreshes us.

I'm living very far from Nepal right now, but that doesn't decrease the love for my country. I'm a daughter of un-defeated Gurkhas, and I will never ever forget the love that Nepal has given to me. Time brought me here, and there will come another time when I will be able to go back and help my country to grow a little. With having all those resources, it's lacking manpower because youths are being forced to come abroad to have a good life with lots of employment opportunities. The political leaders are being really dumb with the decisions they are taking for the development of Nepal, but I hope there will come a day when we all will be presenting a new and developed Nepal.

In the end, no matter where a Nepali lives, the love for his motherland will never go away from him. The fragnance of the Nepali soil cannot be forgotten easily. Yes, I love Nepal and there's no doubt on that. If we hear something bad going in Nepal, that gives us chills because we want all the Nepalese around the world to be safe, as well as the country to be safe. The next time we visit Nepal, we want change; not a negative one, but a positive one. We want to see our country developing. Patriotism never goes away from one's heart. WE LOVE NEPAL, ALWAYS AND FOREVER!
